Boys and Girls Club after school Power Hour program

Pleasant Prairie, WI – January 28, 2010 - LMI Packaging Solutions, Inc., a flexible packaging manufacturer that provides heat seal lidding and services for food companies, donated a big screen television to the Boys and Girls Club of Kenosha for its after school program at Brass Community School. Vince Incandela, who leads LMI Packaging’s corporate social awareness programs, coordinated the effort on behalf of the company.

LMI Packaging’s donation supports the Boys & Girls Club’s after school “Power Hour” program at nine Kenosha area schools.  To gain entry into the Power Hour raffle students had to attend a minimum of three afternoon sessions each week for one quarter (Oct., Nov. and Dec.).  At the conclusion of the quarter 278 children qualified for the drawing.  The winner, selected on January 26th, was a first grader from Brass Community School.

"The Power Hour program is something LMI Packaging was excited to be a part of. It allowed us to come together as a company to support the Boys & Girls Club," said Incandela. LMI Packaging was also represented by members of the Day of Caring Committee which includes Joe Dobrzynski, Chris Blouch, Kim Lishamer, Kim Yoakim and Rosie Samano as they attended Brass Community School’s assembly and after school program.

“Good corporate citizenship and community service are important values at LMI Packaging Solutions,” said Jean Moran, CEO of LMI Packaging.  “This is why we have decided to place additional emphasis on our corporate social programs with Vince leading that effort.” Every year, the company's employees devote both financial resources and time, to help with community service projects. Both corporate and individual contributions reflect a company culture of giving back to community and keeping "service to others" a priority.
